Explanation of pre finished timber flooring:

There are 2 types:

Pre finished floating floor: which is plantation timber base and a 3.5mm to 4mm thick slither of real timber on top ending up 14mm thick, then coated with 6 coats of water based polyurethane.

Pre finished solid timber flooring:   Which is a solid 93x18mm floor board tongue & grooved & end matched with 6 coats of water based polyurethane. this flooring is glued and secret nailed to a existing timber flooring sub-floor or it can be installed over concrete by, fixing hardwood batons at 450c/c or plywood to the concrete slab, then the new solid pre-finished secret nailed and glued to the timber surface.
